Remember A Charity Week - 13-19 September 2010

fundraise_rememberacharitylogo.jpg

Thanks to the Royal Society of Wildlife Trust’s membership of Remember A Charity, a consortium of over 140 different charities working together to encourage people to consider leaving a legacy to a charity, having taken care of those most dear to them, the Manx Wildlife Trust is taking part in Remember A Charity Week from 13-19 September 2010.

Gifts in wills are the cornerstone of many good causes – without legacies, many charities would simply not survive.

We’re taking part in Remember A Charity Week to help raise awareness of legacies – it’s a common myth that you have to be wealthy to help us by leaving a gift in your Will, whatever the amount we’re extremely grateful for any gift that has been left to us as it will help us to continue to protect Manx Wildlife for the future.

Biological data - Recorders Needed!

Each summer botanical surveys are undertaken across many of our reserves across the Island.

white oyster mushroom pleurotus pulmonarius_.jpgUnfortunately, data is rather sparse in other areas such as invertebrates, fungi and lichens.

If you are budding enthusiast of any of these groups and would like to help increase our knowledge of the diversity of our sites then please call the office (01624 801985) and ask for the Trust's Reserves Officer, Tricia Sayle.
