Visit the Manx Wildlife Trust's Wildlife Shop at Tynwald Mills
Come and buy some lovely gifts, books and cards, most with a wildife or countryside theme - and support the Trust at the same time. Based in The Courtyard, Tynwald Mills, the Wildlife Shop was established in October 1992. Now, more than sixteen years on, the shop and the Manx Wildlife Trust office beyond it are the oldest inhabitants of the Courtyard, a busy shopping area with a selection of clothing, homewares, art and jewellery shops and cafes nearby. The shop is staffed solely by volunteers, with all profits directly benefiting the Trust. The shop is run by Wildlife Limited, a trading subsidiary of the Trust.
Shop opening hours: Monday to Saturday 10.30am to 5pm

We also stock a range of Wildflower seeds and bird feeders, plus a great range of greeting cards for all occasions. See a selection below and in our online gallery. Information about the Isle of Man and its natural history, geography and background are available in the form of books and maps and on inquiry from the staff. The shop is has lots of information about the Manx Wildlife Trust, its membership and activities.
The Stock on display is varied and colourful, and we aim to offer a cheerful welcome to everyone who comes in - bikers, visitors, residents or children. The latter are of special importance to us as we aim to be "child friendly" and encourage play and participation for our younger visitors. We are committed to fair trade, and wherever possible our suppliers are chosen for their responsible approach to the import business.
The Wildlife Shop provides the principal source of funding for the Trust and as such, fund-raising is of paramount importance to all its staff. Our aim is to provide a gift-shop for the public as interesting and attractive as possible.
Volunteering in the shop. The Wildlife Shop has always relied on the generosity of volunteers. Anyone who would like to join the small, dedicated team of volunteers who man the shop should contact any member of staff, the Trust office or the sales director, Felicity Cain. (Tel. 01624 801985 ). Training will be given in the routines involved. The work is rewarding, varied and not arduous; it is suitable for anyone interested in meeting people who has some time to spare either on a regular or occasional basis. New volunteers are always welcome !
