Great Christmas Gift Ideas at the Wildlife Shop

The Trust’s Wildlife Shop, a treasure trove of nature-themed gifts, crockery, books, wooden children’s toys and cards is a great place to find perfect presents this Christmas.

Situated in the Courtyard at Tynwald Mills in St Johns, the shop is open from 10.30am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday. Staffed solely by volunteers, all profits directly benefit the Trust.

The shop has a comprehensive range of gifts, for children and adults alike, so why not pop in and take a look.  Here's a very small selection of the goods in-store now, below, and, if you're looking for even more inspiration more gifts ideas can be found here:

Jersey Pottery - at present the Wildlife Shop is the only stockist on the Island for this luxury tableware (photo, left). Richard Bramble's Fruits de Mer designs are simple but stunning.

Archipelago: a fair trade company specialising in wooden seabirds and the Stone Garden range, suitable for indoors or out. We have ducks and ducklings, hares and doves.

An old favourite producing melamine trays and mugs, Melamaster have brought out a delightful owl design.

Top quality melamine tableware from Castle Melamine. Besides producing our own Manx scenes series this Scottish company produces a lovely bird series of mats and coasters.

Bigjigs  carries a range of wooden children's toys, robust, imaginative and educational. Favourites with grand-parents !

Alphabet Jigsaws do exactly what the name suggests, using bright colours and strong designs to help teach  numbers and letters (photo, above right). Made by a fairtrade operation in Sri Lanka.

House of Puzzles -  attractive in price and design; a range of jigsaw puzzles for Christmas evenings.

Our new collection of glove and finger puppets, as well as bigger items like this Noah's Ark. These are made by The Puppet Company.
