HSBC Bank Helps Raise Funds for Trust

Staff at HSBC Bank plc in Douglas recently arranged fundraising activities, including a raffle and a “Wear Something Green for Wildlife” dress-down day, in aid of the Manx Wildlife Trust and in support of World Environment Day.

fundraise_hsbc_jun10.jpgEach year the United Nations uses World Environment Day, on the 5th June, to raise awareness of the environment.  This year, the event celebrated, “the incredible diversity of life on Earth” to tie in with the 2010 International Year of Biodiversity, and HSBC offices around the world organised many of their own events and activities in recognition of this.

The Manx Wildlife Trust was delighted to be selected as the beneficiary of the fundraising efforts of staff at the Bank’s Douglas office who managed to raise £250.

The Trust’s Marine Officer, Eleanor Stone, joined in the activities by giving a presentation on the wonderful array of marine animals that may be found in the sea around the Isle of Man.

Many thanks to the staff at HSBC Bank plc, Douglas for their support.
